Indonesia is a fascinating South East Asian Country and it is quite a popular travel destination with tourists coming in huge numbers across the world. There is no doubt that Indonesia might be on your travel bucket list. And why wouldn’t it be? It has got beautiful beaches, lush greenery, and lots of amazing things to do and explore.

Since you are reading this, you must be planning your trip to Indonesia. Well, you are going to have the best time there. However, it is important to plan the Indonesia Itinerary beforehand so you don’t end up being overwhelmed with tons of places to visit within a limited time. So I have created a perfect Indonesia itinerary for two weeks where you will be seeing some beautiful temples, trying the best food, exploring the cultural and historical sights, and then indulging in the beautiful landscapes of Indonesia.

Have a look at the following Indonesia itinerary and see how you should plan a perfect trip to Indonesia!

Day 1&2 : Start Your Trip with Jakarta

You will most probably land in Jakarta on your first day. Take some time to rest and freshen up in your hotel. Keep your first day not so busy and just roam around to explore the nearby places and try some street food.

On your Second Day in Jakarta, get up early and go for sightseeing to the iconic places. This includes the national museum and some old towns near the city. Make sure to explore the Glodok Chinatown Market for shopping or just exploring.

Day 3 & 4: Leave for Yogyakarta and Explore the City

Yogyakarta is a beautiful city and so is the train journey from Jakarta. It doesn’t cost much and you will get the amusing views of paddy fields and volcanoes that look quite stunning. Stay here for a couple of days to explore the town and its beauty.

Some of the iconic places to visit here are Malioboro Street, Fort Vredeburg and Alun Alun Square. This city offers some lip smacking delicious street options so make sure to try them at Alun Alun Square.

Day 5: See the Sunrise at Borobudur Temple

People say the sunrise at Borobudur is just outwardly and I couldn’t agree more to this. This should be a priority in your Indonesia itinerary because the sunrise is quite divine and the view you get is breathtaking. So it’s simply too beautiful to kiss on your trip. You can take a full day tour of Borobudur or leave for Bali as early as you can.

Day 6 & 7: Leave for Bali

Now it’s time for the most popular destination in Indonesia, Bali!

Bali is full of surprises and it is packed with beautiful sights to explore, fun things to do, and delicious food to eat. There is simply no shortage of things to do and see here. So I would recommend you to spend a good number of days here to explore this exotic place.

There are plenty of amazing places to stay here and you can also rent a two wheeler to explore the place as per your convenience. And relax at the beach for the next day and explore the nearby places and markets.

Day 8: Explore Ubud

Ubud is a fascinating place to explore and this too is dotted with exotic locations, serene views, and beautiful temples to explore.

Visit the Tegenungan waterfall and have a relaxing time there. Next, explore some markets and try out delicious food at some of the iconic restaurants in Ubud. The Monkey Forest should also be on your list of things to do in Ubud.

Day 9: Explore Uluwatu

Uluwatu is kinda like a small town with picturesque locations so it is a must visit place. This place has some great beaches which you would love to explore and spend a relaxing day at.

Visit the beautiful Uluwatu temple while you are here. There are many amazing beaches with less crowds where you can enjoy the sunsets with some luxury fine dining experience.

Day 10: Visit Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is an underrated gem and it used to be as hyped as Bali almost three decades ago. However, this place hasn’t lost its charm and it deserves to make a place on your Indonesia itinerary. Take a short day trip to Nusa Penida if you can or stay here longer to explore the beautiful beaches here.

Day 11 & 12: Take a Boat to Gili Island

You can easily take a boat from Nusa Penida to Gili Island and explore the unmatched beauty of this place. It is also not crowded as much as other tourist attractions. The place has impressed me with its white sand beaches with clear blue water.

Spend some time here relaxing on the exotic beaches. There are many things to do here including swimming with turtles for an unforgettable experience. The place has a happening nightlife with parties going on beaches and bars.

Day 13 & 14: Spend your last days relaxing and exploring your favorite places

Reserve these days in your Indonesia itinerary to indulge in miscellaneous activities that you might get across too. Whether it’s taking a cooking class or trekking on mountains or hiking to the temples, there is no shortage of things to do. If you have a spare day, you can explore the nearby towns, temples, and local market.

At last, head home with amazing memories, lots of good pictures, and some souvenirs to remember this incredible trip by!

Conclusion

So this is the ideal two week Indonesia itinerary that will be enough for you to explore the touristic attractions, beautiful landscapes, and iconic places in the country. Feel free to make changes in the itinerary to customize the tour to make the best out of your trip. That will be all for now, I hope this travel guide was helpful and you can now go on your much needed vacation with a perfect traveling plan.
